Brubaker’s PUBlication
February 19th, 2010/Legal Serving Date February 19th, 1989
Our fantastic parties began at 5:00 p.m. with the Famous Brubaker Muffelletto Sandwich and chicken sausage gumbo as cocktail hour food. After our customers filled their bellies with the Cajun cuisine, the parties went crazy. People were more than willing to showcase skills and body parts to earn beads from our wild co-workers. People loved the prizes and the entertaining face-painters who displayed their artistic talent and party spirit.
Fat Tuesday was such a success because all managers and co-workers joined in the excitement. We did a great job for the following three reasons:
We decorated the bars and ourselves to provide a festive atmosphere.
We promoted the event simply by inviting all friends, families and customers to the parties.
We provided great service and a great time at the parties.
We would like to congratulate the whole company for a very successful night.
Wednesday, February 17th, marked the 10th “After Fat Tuesday” party. Beginning at 4:30 a.m. at Store #2 In the Valley, we continued the Mardi Gras madness with a special pancake and sausage breakfast. The magnificent feast was brought to us and prepared by Area Supervisor Jeff Mollica and G.M. Kristen Verib. 98.1 WKDD was on hand to greet the first 98 customers through the door who received commemorative “After Fat Tuesday” t-shirts, compliments of Brubaker’s Pub, WKDD and Budweiser. At 5:30 A.M., beer, cocktails, games, prizes and of course Beads for Tricks. This “After Fat Tuesday” party is offered every year for our employees and friends as a reward for working hard while the crowds partied the night before. Plan ahead for next year - a morning of great fun and frolic.
Saturday, March 13th is the date of the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade held on Main Street in beautiful downtown Akron, Ohio. Every year local schools, businesses and organizations gather to celebrate Akron’s time-honored Irish heritage. This year Brubaker’s Pubs have agreed to return to the celebration by entering a float in the parade.
Jeff Mollica and Joe Mollica are spear heading operation Erin Go Braugh (Ireland Forever). They have begun construction on our parade float. On Saturday, March 13th, around noon, the Spirit of Brubaker’s returns to take its place as the best float in all the land. Come on down and enjoy the fun.
After the party, the After Party begins. Brubaker’s Pubs throw a wild and outrageous “Fat Tuesday After Party” every year for our employees and friends as a reward for working hard while the crowds partied the night before. We shoot for a trifecta-breakfast, beads and booze.
As usual the After Party will be held at Store #2 in the valley beginning at 5:30 a.m. We are going to advertise the After Party on the radio. Along with our Brubaker sponsors-SJB, PLM and JTM-we’ll have radio personalities hosting the event. Everyone is invited to play with us and partake in the early morning carnage. Customers will be allowed to enter Store #2 before 5:30. The booze will begin to flow when the law allows. Plan ahead; use a sick day for your day job. Students should get class work in advance. Plan to skip Wednesday classes. Brubaker’s Pubs-Where the Party Never ends!
“Beggora!” and Top of the Morning to You! St. Patrick’s Day 2010 is just around the corner. After Fat Tuesday, our stores will be garbed in traditional green and white with a touch of orange. On Sunday, February 28th Brubakerites from all over the Akron area will gather to participate in our 9th annual Chili cook off. We have 20 groups entered already. The cut off is 23. The chili cook-off has become one of our premier events. G.M. Jamie Brown is developing a reputation as the host with the most so this cook-off promises to be our best yet. The prizes are good but the bragging rights are priceless. Come out eat some chili, drink some beer, have a great time.
Saturday, February 20th Angie Cannati and her staff are throwing the first ever Jersey Shore party. The theme is inspired by the wildly popular Jersey Shore reality series. Get your spray tan and wife beater out. Stop in and enjoy drink features, fun, and music. Angie has had overwhelming positive feed back about tomorrow night’s theme party. The masses and our Brubakerites love the TV show. We are sure that the party will be a blast.
